Exactly where our forever protected forest stands. It has adapted perfectly to its habitat. It is protected by a pretty shell that has finally inspired me to draw again after a long time. More on that in a moment. But first I'll finish telling you what I think is so cool about the limpet. At high tide, it breathes through its gill filaments. At low tide, it sucks onto the rock and eats. It grazes the algae that grows on its rock and thus keeps the sea clean. Its tiny teeth made of goethite, the hardest known biological material, help it to do this. Anyone who thinks that lame snails only crawl around haphazardly is far from it. The limpet is kind of sedentary.
